Harmony Singing for All with Caroline Kuhn - An Eight-Week Class

An Eight-Week Class with Caroline Kuhn Saturdays from 2 pm - 3:30 pm: 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7 This class will focus on group harmony singing and vocal technique. We will learn a range of music featuring different styles of vocal harmony, focusing on learning each part by ear. Sheet music will often be provided, but reading ability is not required. All vocal ranges welcome, no experience necessary! An Eight-Week Group Class with Kyle Morgan Mondays at 8 pm: 1/12, 1/19, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/23, 3/2, 3/9 For people who know a handful of chords, but want to become more familiar with them by learning new songs and strumming patterns. Students are welcome to re-take Guitar II as many times as they want - When there are return students, each session will consist of at least 50% new material. Songs from different genres will be presented. The main chords covered will be E, A, D, G, C, Am, Em, Dm, E7, A7, D7, G7, B7 and F. If you know some of these chords already and a few songs, this class for you!. Bluegrass Jam Ensemble Class (Beginner to Intermediate) - An Eight-Week Group Class with Christian Apuzzo

with Christian Apuzzo Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm: 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10 Have you ever wanted to play bluegrass music with other people but never knew where to start? This class will focus on just that: bluegrass jam etiquette. This section of the Bluegrass Jam class is for Beginner to Intermediate players who can play basic chord progressions and would benefit from moving at a slower tempo while learning new songs and the basics of how to play in an ensemble. We will learn various popular bluegrass tunes from artists such as Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, and many more. Fingerpicking Guitar with Kyle Morgan - An Eight-Week Class

An Eight-Week Class with Kyle Morgan Tuesdays at 7 pm: 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10 Fingerpicking Guitar is for intermediate guitarists who have a basic grasp of the instrument (you know your basic major and minor chords and can play along to “simple” folk/country songs). You don’t have to have a lot of experience fingerpicking. We’ll start off simply with foundational techniques and basic patterns. By the end of 8 weeks, you’ll be able to fingerpick chords on multiple songs and maybe even begin playing simple melodies at the same time! Bluegrass Jam Ensemble (Intermediate to Advanced) with Christian Apuzzo - An Eight-Week Group Class

with Christian Apuzzo Tuesdays from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm: 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10 This section of the Bluegrass Jam class is for Intermediate to Advanced players who feel agile with chord progressions and are ready to dive in and jam at faster tempos and explore soloing. Students must know all major and minor chords, barre chords, how to use the capo to transpose, familiar with the Nashville Number System and fluent in the keys of C, D, E, G, and A, familiar with the pentatonic scale in those keys as well. Must also be able to learn and play melodies by ear, have at least 5 bluegrass songs known and/or memorized. We will learn various popular bluegrass tunes from artists such as Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, and many more. You’ll also learn basic skills like ear training and music theory to help you navigate tunes you may not be familiar with, and give you the essentials to sound great even on a tune you have never heard before! Guitar Accompaniment for Singers with Jefferson Hamer - A Four-Week Group Class

Guitar Accompaniment for Singers - A Four-Week Class with Jefferson Hamer Early intermediate and up! Mondays, 8-9 pm: 2/2, 2/9, 2/23, and 3/2 This Guitar class will focus on a range of techniques useful for singers who accompany themselves on guitar. Topics include basic fingerpicking, pick (plectrum) technique, chord theory and moveable shapes, and simple melodic embellishments. The class is suitable for early intermediate and up - knowledge of basic open chords encouraged. Jefferson Hamer is a guitarist, songwriter, traditional musician, and producer of studio recordings. He is best known for his collaborations with Anais Mitchell ( Child Ballads , recipient of a BBC2 Folk Award), Sarah Jarosz (as guitarist and harmony singer on her Grammy-nominated Blue Heron Suite ), Session Americana, and other solo artists including Kristin Andreassen, Reed Foehl, and Laura Cortese. His original songs are featured on his self-released albums and singles, including the full-length Alameda . Perhaps his most enduring collaboration is The Murphy Beds, a harmony-rich folk duo with Irish musician and songwriter Eamon O’Leary, featuring a self-titled LP and the follow-up Easy Way Down . A Workshop with Stash Wyslouch - Bluegrass Improvisation for All Instruments Thursday, April 9, 2026: 5-6:30pm Fees are $50 for Workshop only OR $60 for Workshop + Concert after ($10 discount) Get ideas to structure your practice routine and get better at bluegrass improvisation. All instruments are welcome! Ideas will include melodic and rhythmic development, how to take a deep dive on your repertoire and strengthening the foundations in your playing for a more fulfilling musical experience. Stash Wyslouch is an iconoclastic Bluegrass flatpicker whose style is instantly recognizable incorporating any and all influences. He's played with Molsky's Mountain Drifters, The Jacob Jolliff Band and shared the stage with the likes of Julian Lage, Bryan Sutton, Peter Rowan and David Grisman.
