Once you make your purchase we will contact you and set you up a time with an instructor at your convenience. Lesson Cancellation Policy: Once a lesson is scheduled, you can cancel it or reschedule it with no charge and no penalty by contacting your teacher at least 24 hours before your lesson. With fewer than 24 hours notice, there are no cancellations and you will be charged for the lesson. All lessons must be scheduled within a year of purchase.

Bluegrass Jam Ensemble Class (Beginner to Intermediate) - An Eight-Week Group Class with Christian Apuzzo
with Christian Apuzzo Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm: 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18, 11/25, 12/2, 12/9, 12/16 Have you ever wanted to play bluegrass music with other people but never knew where to start? This class will focus on just that: bluegrass jam etiquette. This section of the Bluegrass Jam class is for Beginner to Intermediate players who can play basic chord progressions and would benefit from moving at a slower tempo while learning new songs and the basics of how to play in an ensemble. We will learn various popular bluegrass tunes from artists such as Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, and many more. Bluegrass Jam Ensemble (Intermediate to Advanced) with Christian Apuzzo - An Eight-Week Group Class
with Christian Apuzzo Tuesdays from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm: 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18, 11/25, 12/2, 12/9, 12/16 This section of the Bluegrass Jam class is for Intermediate to Advanced players who feel agile with chord progressions and are ready to dive in and jam at faster tempos and explore soloing. Students must know all major and minor chords, barre chords, how to use the capo to transpose, familiar with the Nashville Number System and fluent in the keys of C, D, E, G, and A, familiar with the pentatonic scale in those keys as well. Must also be able to learn and play melodies by ear, have at least 5 bluegrass songs known and/or memorized. We will learn various popular bluegrass tunes from artists such as Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, and many more. Ukulele Christmas: A Three-Week Class with Liz Rabson Schnore
Ukulele Christmas with Liz Rabson Schnore Saturdays 12/6, 12/13, 12/20 from 1 PM - 2 PM Christmastime is the best time to gather with friends and family to sing and play music together. This short set of classes will focus on repertoire and demystifying playing the classic Holiday songs on the ukulele so you can bring the music to all your holiday gatherings. This class is for all levels but you should have basic ukulele skills and be able to read ukulele chord charts. Liz Rabson Schnore is a Brooklyn-based musician steeped in the roots traditions of blues, country, and string band music. The daughter of acclaimed blueswoman Ann Rabson, Liz grew up in Fredericksburg, Virginia, but has called Brooklyn home for the past twenty-nine years. A multi-instrumentalist, she primarily plays ukulele, but also guitar, bass, and harmonica. You can find her performing with the Dirty Mother String Band and supporting other local artists as a side-woman. Liz shares her musical knowledge as a ukulele mentor and instructor. She's also a driving force in the Brooklyn music scene, organizing events like the Boathouse Jam and the Gowanus Jug & String Band Sessions at the Gowanus Canal Dredgers Canoe Club Boathouse. Her passion for ukulele, jamming, and folk/roots music makes her a vibrant presence in the community. Ukulele For the Confident Beginner - An Eight-Week Class with Liz Rabson Schnore
with Liz Rabson Schnore Saturdays at 1:00 PM: 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7, 3/14 This class is for students who have either completed Ukulele from scratch or who are confident beginners or advanced beginners/intermediate. You should be able to tune your uke and play a few chords but may be still struggling to change chords confidently and while keeping steady time. The goal of this class will be to give you the tools to learn new songs more easily and play them with authority. We will work on repertoire and will help you to develop the skills needed to learn new songs and play with fellow ukulele or music enthusiasts. You will need a ukulele and a tuner. Recommended: a strap and the book The Daily Ukulele. If you do not have any of these items let us know and we can help you purchase them. Ukulele Ensemble with Liz Rabson Schnore - An Eight-Week Class
An Eight-Week Class with Liz Rabson Schnore Saturdays at 2:00 PM: 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7, 3/14 Ukulele Ensemble is for anyone who wants to take their ukulele game to the next level. We will take a deep dive into creating arrangements for ensemble play, with a focus on performance. This class will cover rhythm, dynamics, and playing with authority, with tips for playing and singing at the same time. The arrangements will include parts for all levels and types of ukuleles. We will work on techniques for keeping things interesting both for you and for an audience. We will explore traditional ukulele music, and uke-friendly songs. We will learn a new song in each class, working on techniques to get off-book so that at the end of the class we will have a good selection of songs for an end-of-session recital. To join this class you will need to know the basics of ukulele play, how to tune and be able to switch between chords. In addition to a ukulele, we recommend that you have a tuner and a ukulele strap. If you are an absolute beginner, we recommend that you take the Ukulele from Scratch class first..
